Where it all began…

The distribution journey began in 2003 when Sam was presented with an opportunity to work for a HDPE pipe and fittings company.

Starting in Shipping and Receiving, Sam learned the ins and outs of the trade. He learned what it meant to take pride in your work and to put customers first. This meant working the counter and meeting customers face to face, and making sure that their orders were accurate and ready on time. Sam didn't realize it then but it was the beginning of a career that he would come to love.

From shipping and receiving, Sam moved to fusion technician and learned how the products went together in the field. When he wasn’t fusing pipe or shipping products, Sam was trucking product for the company with his CDL. All of these experiences would become the foundation for his next opportunity in sales.

About 2 years after starting in the industry, Sam excelled to an inside sales position with his employer. The skills that he had learned in those 2 years would prove to be invaluable. Gaining product knowledge from the ground up and first hand installation experience, Sam was able to relate and talk with clients on a different level. With his attention to detail and his sense of urgency for the client it wasn't long before he was promoted to Inside Sales Manager.

As an inside sales manager, Sam continued to develop relationships with his clients and vendors across the United States. Sam knew that one day he would be running his own distribution company. His tenacity for finding business and unmatched quality of service in the industry lead to starting his own company. This dream has now become a reality with the blessings from God, family and friends, STC Distribution was born.

Sam is a family man who gets up at 5:45am every morning for coffee and bible study. Happily married and a father to 4 children. Enjoys spending time with my family, hunting, fishing and cooking.
